๐Ÿ‘๏ธโ€๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ Zero Keylogging

Keystrokes are processed solely in local browser memory and are never uploaded or transmitted.

๐Ÿ’พ Local Vault Only

Test histories, personal records, and sound preferences live safely in your device's localStorage.

๐Ÿ”’ No Tracker Cookies

We do not sell personal data, display third-party tracking pixels, or build behavioral ad profiles.

1. Information We Process

TypingTest.site is engineered with a strict privacy-by-default architecture. When you use our typing test application:

  • Client-Side Keystroke Processing: As you type sample sentences, our JavaScript engine evaluates character match accuracy and timestamps in your browser's active execution thread. We do not store or transmit raw key logs.
  • Local Configuration & History: Test parameters (duration, chosen language, sound volume, caret styling) and past test results are saved in your web browser using HTML5 localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
  • Certificate Generation: When generating an official printable certificate, the name you provide is rendered directly onto a client-side SVG/PDF canvas with a randomized unique verification identifier.

2. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies for targeted third-party advertising. We utilize browser localStorage strictly for functional purposes:

  • Remembering your personalized test preferences (e.g., sound volume, theme, font family).
  • Maintaining your personal best WPM record and historical test timestamps.
  • Preventing repeated notification banners.

You can clear this data at any moment by clearing your browser cache or using the "Clear History" button within the Stats dashboard.

3. Third-Party Services

Our web application is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Google Cloud may collect standard network telemetry (such as IP addresses and browser user-agent headers) strictly for distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation and routing reliability. No individual typing data is linked to these infrastructure logs.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • You have the right to access, export, or delete any stored typing scores directly from your browser.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
  • We do not collect sensitive demographic, financial, or biometric information.
